Kids are back in school. The days are growing shorter. It’s the perfect time to purchase a few new books to read. We have something for everyone! From military and history books to Hot Rod Magazines (and others), from Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys to a huge supply of Golden Books, novels and cookbooks to boating and the Old West!

Back to school, whether at home or in the school building, means reading! Growing up, I’m sure many parents (and definitely grandparents) remember The Golden Book series. Here at Bahoukas Antiques, we have a wonderful selection of Golden Books and many other books for children and teens.

From classics to Dr. Seuss and everything in between, our shelves of books for children are sure to make a perfect escape on a rainy (or simply ‘too hot’) day! Bring them in and give them the opportunity to discover something of interest: Hardy Boys, Bobbsey Twins, Donna Parker, the Classics, and a great variety of Golden Books.
Of course, we have comics and puzzles, and other fun items for kids.
And don’t forget, we also have a wonderful selection of books and magazines for adults including the complete Pulaski Seriesby Robert Lackey that are historical novels that center on Havre de Grace beginning with our canal and lockhouse time period. In fact, he visited with his latest book of the series, #10 Pulaski’s Redemption.

With temperatures heading up to the 90s this week, often it’s too hot for the young ones to be outdoors for too long at a stretch. We just might have a solution or two for you at Bahoukas Antique Mall.

His favorite sport was fishing and he held 10+ world records for big game fishing
Born Jan. 31, 1872 and died Oct. 23, 1939 in Zanesville, Ohio
He authored more than 90 books
His novels and short stories were adapted into 112, films, 2 TV episodes, and a series, Dick Powell’s Zane Grey Theater
