Beautiful large vintage art tin with two-sided imagery by classically beloved artists, Martin J Heade and Frank W Benson (American Masters). Martin J Heade image is of famous “Magnolias on a Blue Velvet Cloth” c. 1885-95. Frank W Benson reproduction is of the “Summer Afternoon” c. 1906.
The body of tin is white with pinstripe brown lines giving piece a tailored appearance. Inside tin is washed in a gold tone coating. Descriptions of the Sunshine Biscuit company, the art and the artists are printed inside lid and on bottom of tin. Advertising history.
